Joshua 2:24, Numbers 13:31, Numbers 14:3

““The Lord has given us the whole land,” they said, “for all the people in the land are terrified of us.”” – Joshua 2:24 NLT

It’s interesting that Israel’s enemies are terrified of them as an extreme threat. They aren’t an army, they literally are a bunch of poor people that have been wandering around thirsty and hungry. They shouldn’t even remotely be considered a threat. What makes the difference is God. Israel’s enemies understand the terrifying might of the God above them and leading them. So why couldn’t Israel see this and account for it when originally scouting Canaan in Numbers? – Dylan Herring

“But the other men who had explored the land with him disagreed. “We can’t go up against them! They are stronger than we are!”” – Numbers 13:31 NLT

““Why is the Lord taking us to this country only to have us die in battle? Our wives and our little ones will be carried off as plunder! Wouldn’t it be better for us to return to Egypt?”” – Numbers 14:3 NLT

The people that are usually afraid of God are his enemies because they know the amount of power pointed in their direction. Let’s remember that power even when it’s not pointed our way. God can obliterate his enemies. He can literally erase them. We know the worldly are his enemies. If the world is so afraid of him and his awesome might, then is there any reason for us to even remotely be afraid of the world? No! We CANNOT forget the power of God or let ourselves be afraid of the world and let fear impact our mission! – Dylan Herring
