“How happy your people must be! How happy your officials, who continually stand before you and hear your wisdom!” – ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭10‬:‭8‬ ‭NIV

This is a false line of thinking. Jesus was infinitely wise before his people and they were angry and bitter and killed him. Having a wise leader doesn’t always result in having happy people. Believing in Christ and having the Holy Spirit fill you does result in being “happy” or more apply having joy. Romans 15:13 says,

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” – Romans 15:13 NIV

We are filled with joy and peace by the Holy Spirit and by that we can overflow with hope. It is by that joy we are happy as Christians. We just need Christ. Let us remember that.
