This just reminded me of how when we are not in solidarity and united, we can easily be overrun by the enemy and overtaken. Israel was divided because of sin. They were now no longer focused on God, but instead focused on their own personal gains. We need to keep our focus on God at all times and the good of the overall body so as to not let the enemy overrun us.
