God’s Judgement Will Come: 2 Kings 17:22-23 and Psalms 9:7-8

“The Israelites persisted in all the sins of Jeroboam and did not turn away from them until the Lord removed them from his presence, as he had warned through all his servants the prophets. So the people of Israel were taken from their homeland into exile in Assyria, and they are still there.” – 2 Kings 17:22-23 NIV

Even if his judgment takes a numerous lifetimes or to the end of an age, God will eventually judge evil and execute his righteousness because he is a just and righteous God and he hates evil.

Here is a song David wrote speaking of the just nature of God and the refuge we have in God in times of need.

“The Lord reigns forever; he has established his throne for judgment. He rules the world in righteousness and judges the peoples with equity.” – Psalms 9:7-8 NIV

It’s overall a song of great praise. God is good and just and will always be that way and that is why we can trust him. Repent and do right because he will always execute justice. No matter how safe you may feel in your sin you are never truly safe unless you stop because judgement or consequences will always come.
