Week 15: April 9th – April 15th, 2023

This week on my journey towards eldership I have been working on self discipline in my relationship with Elders Academy work still. According to Titus 1:8 I must be disciplined if I am to be an elder:

“Rather, he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined.” – ‭‭Titus‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Compared to last week, I was successful in remaining faithful to my studies. I have distanced myself from the moving stuff from I was struggling with last week for a time until we have a better grasp and goal at what we are doing, and I have used as much free time as I could to my work. I am still struggling with the Academy workload in relation to my life but that has more to do with me needing to learn how to take notes better and that will come with time, but this week definitely didn’t impact as hard as it could have. Learning to maximize my time and energy in my days will be essential for Eldership because of the insane workload of managing the needs of an entire community as well as the needs of my own family. I’ll need to be proficient at time management and need to be comfortable at being self-disciplined especially in this area. Thanks be to God for helping grow me in this area.
