“I have no one else like him, who will show genuine concern for your welfare. For everyone looks out for their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ.” – Philippians 2:20-21 NIV

Timothy clearly has a focus on others above himself and demonstrates the humility Paul had discussed earlier when he said,

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” – Philippians 2:3-4 NIV

We need to be focusing on the interests of Christ and not our own. We need to be genuinely caring about one another as a result of focusing on the interests of Christ.
