““Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar.” – Proverbs 30:5-6 NIV
Adding to God’s word would be like adding your own strokes to Van Gogh’s Starry Night or Edvard Munch’s The Scream. Not only would it cease to be an individual’s originally masterpiece but most likely those lines would cloud the image since they were not part of the artists original intent. This most definitely would be true with the omniscient God’s perfect masterpiece in the Bible because it clearly has no flaws since God knew exactly what needed to be in and out of it and why. Adding or subtracting anything from it would only make flaws since we humans are not flawless nor can we make anything flawless or have flawless judgements. Do not doubt God and his word. If you trust God and understand his word to lack nothing, you will do well.
