God is in complete control. It’s by God’s mercy that we all exist and stay alive and flourish and such. We cannot best God no matter what plan, strategy, or power we can possibly muster. It is such arrogance to believe we are the ones that cause any sort of splendor or glory to come upon us for any achievement we get. God is the one that moves people up and down as he sees fit. Be humble before God and thank him for what you have.
