“Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?” declares the Lord. “These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word.” – Isaiah 66:2 NIV

I latched onto the idea of trembling at God’s word. His word has emotion attached to it that we should respond to it with much excitement, fear, awe, and reverence to God. God‘s word should not be treated as something you just read, but something that you interact with, and fills you with emotion. It also has to do with response. When we read God’s word, we must respond to it. Those who do not like God, who do not listen to him choose to disobey his, but to us who love God, we must respond with trembling and awe by living it out.
