Not About the Money: Romans 9:4-8

”the people of Israel. Theirs is the adoption to sonship; theirs the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises. Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of the Messiah, who is God over all, forever praised! Amen. It is not as though God’s word had failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel. Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abraham’s children. On the contrary, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.” In other words, it is not the children by physical descent who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring.“ – Romans 9:4-8 NIV

The amount of blessings God gives doesn’t change the fact that people will still reject him. The reason for this is twofold: 1) Certain people will love the world over God. They don’t want God and will reject him regardless of what offers because of what the world offers and the fact they hate him. 2) There are chosen people of God that are elect from the crowd to be children of God that will love him and everyone else is not a part of that group and will be damned. So there will always be those who reject him. Enjoy God’s blessings and understand that we aren’t in it for the blessings but the relationship with God.
