Titus 3:13 and 3:14 are the contrasted points of life Paul makes in Titus 3. In verse 3 we see what an unsaved life looks like. It’s focused on passions and pleasures and is prone to conflict of all sorts and is based on foolishness. In verse 14 we see the life saved by Christ although not completely parallel 1-1. We see a focus on the work and the focus on things being safe as well as generally doing good. When one is too busy stuffing their face with the luxuries of the world, they easily lose track of their surroundings and the needs of the environment around them or even worse yet, they ignore it on purpose. Either way, by not focusing on their situations, things will fall through and it could cause harm.
