Thinking, talking, and listening to new ideas can be both a good thing or a bad thing. If a person’s pursuit is to love God, then talking about new ways to please him and love him and serve him better is good, but if a persons intent is say to figure out new ways to get away with sin or has some relation to sin, then it’s most definitely bad. Then you also have the aspect of if you are talking about new ideas because you are bored of what you have all the time and want to create new things out of that boredom, which stems from a bad motive. And you have other reasons as well that may be bad that cause the overall process to be bad. Novel is exciting and we as humans like to feel excitement even if that means building systems to feed it. Let’s be able to be content with what we have and are doing, but always seeking to find and do more things to please the Lord. Just had that thought.
