”Then he took the seven loaves and the fish, and when he had given thanks, he broke them and gave them to the disciples, and they in turn to the people. They all ate and were satisfied. Afterward the disciples picked up seven basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. The number of those who ate was four thousand men, besides women and children. After Jesus had sent the crowd away, he got into the boat and went to the vicinity of Magadan.“ – Matthew 15:36-39 NIV
Notice how it doesn’t say much about Jesus feeding the 4000. The miracle happens and it moves on mostly from there. This is a giant miracle and for it to not milked and that seems strange to us, but this wasn’t Jesus focus. The original purpose of Jesus towards these people was to take demonstrate his power and ability to care for others. The miracle isn’t what is important. Relationship is and always has been the most important thing for him.
