Don’t Operate Out of Fear: Matthew 25:26-27

”“His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.“ – Matthew 25:26-27 NIV

Not taking an action is taking an action. It’s the active choice to refrain from doing something. It’s often never the right choice to only operate out of fear. We as Christians need to operate with faith, and that means trusting that even if something looks sketchy, if God is calling us to it, we have to make the choice to follow it and not ignore it. The choice of the servant was to not do anything with the money and thereby be a useless servant. The master might as well have left it somewhere since the same effect would have happened.
